Is it normal for my baby corn snake to tap it's head against the glass of his vivarium? Why does he do it?

If not, why does he do it? What should I do to make him stop should this proceeding continues?

My corn snake did that all the time for the first week or so that I had her. It's probably because he can't work out what it is that he's tapping against - they have pretty bad eyesight but he can see outside the cage and can't understand why he can't get there. Don't worry about it, he'll soon get used to her tank. If you want you can get some kind of opaque paper (like the kind you buy for the back of fish tanks) and stick it on three sides of the tank so he can't see out of them. This will make him feel a lot more secure and less scared. Like the previous answerer said, the more hide places the better. Babies like small hides that they can squeeze into rather than roomier ones.

He may also be looking for a way to escape, and once again he'll soon stop it.

You don't need to worry if he carries on, it isn't going to hurt him unless there are sharp edges. If anything inside the cage feels a little sharp, stick selotape over it to smooth the surface out. It's unlikely that the tank is too small, baby corns don't need anything bigger than a 10 - 15 gallon.

What should /can I do at home for my sneezing chicken with a runny nose?

My 2 month old white-topped, black polish chicken began sneezing yesterday evening. She was running around eating and playing and looked fine, but we isolated her just in case. (Yesterday, we swept out the barn and changed out the hay for fresh hay, so I know we had some dust kicked up - we do this weekly.) This morning, her nose was slightly runny, but she was still eating, drinking and peeping. Her stool looked normal in color and consistency, and I saw no drainage from her eyes. She appears to be ok except for sneezing and runny nose. She is moving around with good balance, but it's hard to evaluate her activity since we have her in a smaller place while confined. We added several new chicks to our barn about1 month ago. Is there anything I can do for this chick at home and what are the warning signs I should look for that indicates something more serious? I would appreciate any help anyone can give me!!! Thanks!

It could just be a cold, but it's hard to tell. If she seems ok I'd just keep her isolated for a couple days to be sure. If she starts to show signs of being weak, tired, has trouble walking, more discharge, difficulty breathing, etc. you might want to take her to a vet. If the vet isn't an option you'll have to put her in an area that is warm, with plenty of food and water available. She might improve or may not, it's hard to say.
